- DJI has announced a launch event on November 18th
- We will almost certainly see the DJI Osmo Action 6 make its debut
- Potential pricing for the action camera has also been leaked
Things are moving fast when it comes to the DJI Osmo Action 6: DJI has released a launch date teaser for the long-rumored successor to the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro, while global pricing for the action camera has also been leaked.
First, there’s the official teaser with the tagline “square up, nail the move.” It’s pretty ambiguous, but we think it could refer to a square camera sensor – which according to previous rumors is likely to be a larger 1/1.1-inch size in this new model (potentially the same as in the Osmo 360).
Less ambiguous is the launch date and time on Tuesday, November 18, with events starting at 12:00 GMT (ie 04:00 PT / 07:00 ET / 23:00 AEDT). We will of course be ready and waiting to bring you the announcements as they are made.
The teaser image focuses on the main camera of the DJI Osmo Action 6, and judging by the animation it looks like we’re in line for a variable aperture this time around – the first time we’ve seen one on an action camera, and also something that has become previously rumored.

Now for the unofficial updates, and Dealabs (via Notebookcheck) believes the starting price in the US will be $379. That compares to $349 for the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro Standard Combo bundle, though of course bundle details may vary.
The price, according to the same tipster, will be £329 in the UK and €379 in Europe, with the more extensive Adventure Combo bundle coming in at $479 / £419 / €479 – that’s a slight increase over the same bundle for the 2024 model camera.
This leak doesn’t mention Australian pricing, but the DJI Osmo Action Pro 5 price was AU$599 for the Standard Combo and AU$769 for the Adventure Combo, so we can probably expect something along those lines or slightly higher for the new model.
All indications are that this will be quite a significant upgrade, making the Osmo Action 6 a contender on our list of the best action cameras you can buy, and within a few weeks everything will be official – even as a potential US ban against DJI looms.
