ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan on Thursday categorically rejected the baseless and misleading allegations that members of the Hindu community were denied entry to its territory.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Tahir Hussain Andrabi said in a statement: “These allegations are completely baseless and represent yet another attempt to distort the facts and politicize a matter that was purely administrative in nature.”

He was responding to media queries on allegations that certain members of the Hindu community were denied entry to Pakistan.

“On November 4, 2025, a total of 1,932 pilgrims successfully crossed into Pakistan through the Attari-Wagah border. It is pertinent to note that approximately 300 visa holders were prevented by the Indian authorities from crossing over. The entire immigration process on the Pakistani side was smooth, orderly and free of any hindrance,” he added.

He said: “A very small number of persons were found to be in possession of incomplete documentation and were unable to provide satisfactory answers to the immigration authorities. Hence, they were requested to return to the Indian side as per standard procedures.”
