An explosion occurred near the main gate of the G-11 Islamabad Courthouse on Tuesday, prompting emergency measures at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital.
Emergency services at the hospital have been activated and injured people are being transferred from the scene by Rednings 1122, ambulances and police cars. So far, more than 12 people, including the seriously injured, have been hospitalized.

A heavy contingent of police personnel has also reached the hospital, while Islamabad’s Inspector General of Police and the Chief Commissioner visited the site.
According to sources, the blast took place in a parked vehicle on the service road near the court building gate. Police sources said three people near the vehicle were injured in the blast.
Authorities are investigating the incident and security has been tightened in the surrounding area.
