Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may face a difficult road ahead after rejecting Kris Jenner’s request to share photos from her latest birthday party.
According to Heat Magazine, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s move could strain their ties with the Kardashian matriarch.
An insider said Kris did not take it well when the Sussexes rejected her request and possibly cut ties with the couple because of the humiliation she faced.
If she does, the couple’s social and financial prospects could be hit, especially as Meghan’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, continues to suffer due to “weak sales,” the source said.
“Meghan is distraught as she respects Kris, but she’s not giving up hope,” the insider said of Meghan’s reaction to the question.
“She has already sent a letter of apology and will no doubt send Christmas gift packages and other peace offerings to get back in the Kardashians’ good books,” they added.
The insider continued: “She’s hoping it will all blow over and become water under the bridge soon enough. But once you cross this family, there tends to be no turning back and the likelihood is they’ll give Harry and Meghan an extremely wide berth going forward.”
“Meghan isn’t giving up, but right now it’s a nightmare for their social prospects and it’s probably going to cost them a lot of money too. She really didn’t mean to upset Kris and just wants the friendship back.”
