- The OnePlus 15 has just been approved by the FCC in the United States
- This is the final step before it can be approved for sale
- Our OnePlus 15 review recently gave the flagship a rare five-star rating
Open our OnePlus 15 review and you’ll see that we gave the phone a rare five-star-out-of-five score: it’s undoubtedly one of our favorite phones of the year, and it looks like it’s about to go on sale in the US, too.
As spotted by Android Authority, the OnePlus 15 has now been approved by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States. It’s the last big step for a gadget like this to take before it can actually go on sale.
US availability for the OnePlus 15 has been promised since the smartphone was unveiled, so this isn’t a surprise. But the recent US government shutdown meant the paperwork for the OnePlus 15 got stuck in limbo.
Prices in the US start at $899.99 for the black version of the OnePlus 15 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. OnePlus is yet to release an official update, but we expect the smartphone to go on sale in the US very soon now.
A five star phone
OnePlus has always made some of the best Android phones in the business, ever since the first one appeared in April 2014. Our OnePlus One review is still online, and you’ll see that we gave the phone 4.5 stars out of 5 back then.
Launched earlier this year, the OnePlus 15 scored full marks. We described it as “better than perfect”, with performance, battery life and cameras all exceptionally good – three of the most important considerations when weighing up a phone.
It has a design that looks good too: while not as flashy as some of its rivals, it has its own understated charm. The OxygenOS software also continues to impress and is by far one of the better implementations of Android out there.
Samsung tends to dominate when it comes to Android phone sales in the US, but we’re glad to see OnePlus still releasing its phones in the region – the OnePlus 15 scored higher than both the Samsung Galaxy S25 and Google Pixel 10.
