Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 1 (Netflix)
Look at
It is the beginning of the end for Stranger Things – yes, the main show of the supernatural sci-fi franchise. Really, Stranger Things 5 brings down the curtain on one of the best Netflix shows of all time. And with Season 5 Volume 1, which includes the first four episodes, out now on the streaming titan, the countdown to its epic and highly emotional conclusion is in full swing.
I’ve been a huge fan of the series since its debut season dropped nine years ago, so I’m not ready to say goodbye to it just yet. With four more episodes to come in a month’s time, however, it won’t be long before this TV juggernaut’s final wraps roll for good. Time to start stocking up on tissues, I say. *sniff* – TP
Chris Hemsworth: A Road Trip to Remember (Hulu/Disney+)
Look at
Surprise! There’s a heartfelt follow-up to Chris Hemsworth’s Live better now document series with A road trip to remember. It does exactly what its titles suggest, with the Marvel actor taking his father Craig, who has Alzheimer’s, on a memory-filled journey through Australia.
If you have seen Live better nowwill you know that Hemsworth has been exploring ways to prolong cognitive function (or at least make them healthier) for some time. Here, however, we get a mixture of science and sadness, and directly confront the possibility of letting go of a parent.
Is it the funniest watch on Hulu and Disney+? No, but it is not without its laughs and tender moments. If anything, it’s life-affirming, and that’s far more important in my eyes. – Jasmine Valentine, entertainment reporter
It’s Florida, Man Season 2 (HBO Max)
Look at
You may be familiar with the Florida Man trend, and this HBO Max TV Original pokes fun at the weird and wonderful stories from the state of Florida. The first season went well, and now the anthology is back for another round.
Once again, It’s Florida, man season 2 features honest stories from everyday Floridians playfully recreated by a rotating cast of actors and comedians, and you won’t believe your eyes at some of the situations that unfold. Plus, you’ll see some amazing guest stars like Tiffany Haddish, Haley Joel Osment, Johnny Knoxville, Taika Waititi and Rita Ora. – Lucy Buglass, Senior Entertainment Writer
Jingle Bell Heist (Netflix)
Look at
New Netflix movies have taken on that unmistakable tinsel sheen, so it’s no surprise that we have another new entry on the festive movie playlist this week with Jingle Bell Heist.
Set in London during the holidays, Olivia Holt’s retail worker and Connor Swindells’ repairman team up to pull off a department store heist, but will they steal each other’s hearts instead? You can probably already guess where this is going…
Part crime caper, part seasonal rom-com, this is not in the same league as anything like it Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, but if you want a light festive watch then Netflix has you covered. – Amelia Schwanke, senior entertainment editor
Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age (Apple TV)
Look at
Finally, Woolly Mammoth has his chance to shine on the small screen (if you discount ice age). The latest addition to Apples Prehistoric planet TV shows have jumped forward in time by about 133 million years. That’s not the only change either, as Tom Hiddleston has taken David Attenborough’s place as its off-camera narrator.
If you can get past the crushing loss, it’s quite incredible to see the similarities between wildlife then and now. Simply put, think of some of the animals we have now and triple the size.
The most impressive thing is the craftsmanship itself. Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age consists of real locations, puppetry and CGI. In a world where artificial intelligence is becoming king, that’s pretty special in itself. Stream it now on Apple TV. – JV
The Beatles Anthology (Disney+)
Look at
Here comes a restored and remastered version of the best Beatles docuseries ever made! The 1995 multimedia project has long been hailed as the most comprehensive look at The Fab Four – largely because the story is told in the band’s own words.
Now, The Beatles Anthology has become an even more expansive experience, expanding the original eight-hour series to more than 11 hours with an all-new ninth episode. This adds behind-the-scenes footage of Paul, George and Ringo reuniting to work on the original project, along with newly recorded interviews and other previously untold stories.

Bel-Air Season 4 (Peacock)
Look at
Bel-Air season 4 is the final season of Peacock’s remake of the original Fresh Prince series, so it’s time to once again say goodbye to the Banks family. The first three episodes of the eight-part season are out now, and by December 8th they’ll all be available if you want to skip it
The season also has plenty to finish. What will Will and Carlton do after their senior year? What do Viv and Phil plan to do about their pregnancy? We have questions and we’re praying for some big answers! – LB
