NEW Strands today (game #849) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #849, are…
- AUTHOR
- DIRECTOR
- CAST
- PRODUCER
- CREW
- EDITOR
- SPANGRAM: THATSHOWBIZ
- My assessment: Easy
- My score: Perfect
There was no mystery about today’s search, although I expected to find lights and camera in the game somewhere.
Instead, the game ended up being a broader version, with THATSHOWBIZ covering both stage and screen (both small and large) and the various roles that make up a production.
We could have added “audience”, I suppose, because without it there is no point – although I know from a relation who works in a cinema that even if no one shows up, they still play the film in the same way as if it were a full house, since they are all set by a program at the start of each day.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Monday, June 29, Game #848)
- CLEFT
- REST
- NOTE
- BRACKET
- MEASURE
- RANDOM
- SPANGRAM: MUSICAL STAFF
