Egyptian FM arrives in Islamabad today for two-day visit

Both sides will review the full range of bilateral relations, exchange views on the regional, international development

At the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty, on a two-day official visit to Pakistan starting on Saturday (today).

During the visit, the Egyptian Foreign Minister will hold meetings and talks at delegation level with the Deputy Prime Minister.

The two sides will review the full spectrum of bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international developments, including the situation in Gaza.

The visit reflects the longstanding and cordial relations between Pakistan and Egypt, based on common faith, cultural affinity and shared perspectives on regional and international issues.

Earlier this month, Deputy Prime Minister Dar spoke to Minister Abdelatty, who conveyed his condolences over the loss of precious lives in the recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan.

They discussed regional developments, including in the Middle East and peace efforts for Gaza.

Dar also spoke to Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Al Busaidi.
