ISLAMABAD:
Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi on Tuesday pledged to modernize Pakistan Railways, saying ongoing reforms – including state-of-the-art stations, digital upgrades, improved passenger services, increased revenue collection and expanded regional connectivity – are key to transforming the sector.
He expressed these views while addressing the National Tourism Award 2025 ceremony.
Abbasi urged Discover Pakistan to highlight Pakistan Railways’ reforms, successes and public-service initiatives, noting that the broadcaster is already playing a vital role in presenting the country to the world.
