President Donald Trump was awarded the first-ever FIFA Peace Prize at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC on Friday during the draw for the World Cup final.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino presented Trump with the award, which included a trophy with golden hands holding a soccer ball.
Trump created the World Cup task force earlier this year, as the United States will be home to 11 of the 16 host cities in next year’s event.

The championship game will take place on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
“This is truly one of the great honors of my life,” Trump said.
