Taylor Swift once said there would be no explanations, only reputation, and she seems true to her word as fans believe the pop superstar is releasing Reputation (Taylor’s Version).
The 35-year-old singer left fans in shock by making new changes to her 2017 album without any prior notice.
Several Swifties took to social media and shared their confusion over new lyrics in her songs, I did something bad and Delicate on Apple Music after the Dolby Atmos audio update.
While Swift famously sang, “But if he drop my name, I owe him nothing / And if he use my money, he got it coming,” on I did something badthe lyrics are now: “If a man talks s—, I owe him nothing” / And if he calls me a bi–h, he got it.”
Whereas Delicate has changed from “Oh, hell, never seen that color blue” to “Damn, never seen that color blue.”
The lyrical change took the internet by storm, with Swifties also noticing a subtle change in the voice, leading them to wonder if the Grammy winner is sharing a glimpse of the re-recorded version.
The theory wouldn’t be far-fetched, but actually very Swift-esque as she did the same thing when she originally released the album in 2017. She shared many cryptic posts leading up to the release and then finally revealed the cover art and release date.
