The army focused on hostile hybrid campaigns: CDF

RAWALPINDI:

Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defense Forces (CDF) Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir said on Saturday: “The Pakistan Army remains fully focused on both internal and external challenges, including hostile hybrid campaigns, extremist ideologies and divisive elements seeking to undermine national stability”.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the CDF made the remarks while visiting the Gujranwala and Sialkot garrisons, where he was “briefed on the operational readiness of the formation and key initiatives to enhance combat readiness”.

The field marshal witnessed field training exercises and advanced simulator training facility, the statement said, adding that he praised the formation’s high professional standards and overall readiness.

He emphasized the importance of technological adaptability and noted that modern warfare requires agility, precision, situational awareness and quick decision-making, the ISPR handout said.

While interacting with the officers and soldiers, the COAS & CDF praised their high morale and steadfast commitment to national security while stressing the importance of rigorous and mission oriented training.

Earlier on his arrival at Gujranwala COAS & CDF were received by Corps Commander Gujranwala.

National Games

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defense Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on Saturday officially declared the 35th National Games 2025 over and as the chief guest, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari handed over the flag from Pakistan Olympic Committee to Punjab National Olympic Association to host the next 36th National Games.

Earlier, while addressing the closing ceremony, PPP chairman thanked Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for gracing the occasion with his presence, describing his leadership and service as a symbol of strength, professionalism and national unity.
