Militant Ikramullah alias Maulvi Insafullah killed, linked to AC Shah Wali Wazir murder
Security forces carry out operations in Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan and North Waziristan, killing 15 militants, including a suspect in the killing of an assistant commissioner. In a separate incident, unidentified persons blew up a government school in North Waziristan.
According to details, security forces conducted an operation in Bannu’s Mamand Khel area and killed militant Ikramullah, also known as Maulvi Insafullah, linked to the assassination of North Waziristan Assistant Commissioner Shah Wali Wazir.
Ikramullah was associated with the outlawed Gul Bahadur group and had played a central role in the attack on Shah Wali Wazir. Two of his associates, Ataur Rehman and Abu Saleh, were also killed in the operation, while another militant, Darvesh, was injured.

AC Shah Wali and three others were martyred on December 2 when unidentified assailants ambushed their vehicle on Miranshah Road, police and district officials said. The Assistant Commissioner traveled from Miranshah to Bannu on official duty. According to police, assailants riding a motorbike opened fire on the vehicle before setting it on fire and fleeing the scene.
Separately, five militants were killed on the spot during a targeted, intelligence-led counter-terrorism operation by security forces in North Waziristan.
Meanwhile, in Ipi village of Mir Ali tehsil, North Waziristan, unidentified persons destroyed Government Girls Primary School Lal Salam Kot using explosives.

Unidentified attackers have repeatedly attacked public schools in North Waziristan, South Waziristan, Bannu and Lakki. In these areas, the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has imposed a self-imposed ban on girls’ education.
In another intelligence-based operation in Aba Shaheed village, on the outskirts of Kulachi tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan, security forces killed 10 militants. The area was cordoned off and a search is underway to trace any remaining militants.
