Sarah Ferguson appears to be reeling from the humiliation of being completely cut off from the royal family and is now trying to settle down to win back sympathy.
The former Duchess of York was also deposed after King Charles stripped her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor of all royal honors and titles. They were both found to have a shady connection to pedophile financier Jeffery Epstein, forcing the monarch to take serious action after public backlash.
In the past, Sarah and Andrew had a tradition of sending Christmas cards to family and friends. This year, with Christmas just around the corner, Fergie had signed the festive cards alone to send out to the royals, per DailyMail author Barbara Davies.
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s mother had slowly earned the trust and favor of the royals and had even attended the Sandringham Walk in 2023. But all of that fell apart when the controversies lined up against the Yorks.
They are also set to leave the Royal Lodge in the first half of 2026, which will officially (and hopefully for royals) mark the end of the chapter.
“As the long-divorced couple finally prepared to go their separate ways, 66-year-old Sarah is understood to have signed her cards alone,” a source revealed.
They added that the cards, addressed to members of the royal family, have “a gushing personal apology” written for causing the problems through her past poor decisions.
In what is being described as a ‘desperate’ attempt, Fergie is pleading with the royals to somehow prove any small amount of remorse she feels. The source shared that she had forlornly written on the cards: “I hope to see you again”.
It is suggested that Sarah will be with Andrew for Christmas this year as they are also banned from all the royal family’s private parties. Meanwhile, their eldest daughter Beatrice goes abroad with her family and friends.
Princess Eugenie has yet to make up her mind, but it is likely she would follow her sister’s strategy of avoiding drama.
