OK. I may not be at my sharpest today, but I hope I wasn’t the only person confused by this edition of Strands.
I managed to get around the board OK with the help of a hint, but I couldn’t see what the connection was to all the keywords with BOXINGDAY. Maybe, I thought, it’s a cultural difference and there’s a huge Boxing Day SHOE tradition in the US that people outside the US have never heard of.
Finally I got that “box” was the link, although I still don’t understand the “please hold” theme. Is it something to do with telephone boxes?
