Newlyweds Holly Ramsay and Adam Peaty are off on their honeymoon after a mammoth family drama.
The 30-year-old Olympic swimmer and his blushing bride, 25, appeared in high spirits as they made a grand exit following their lavish wedding on December 27 at Bath Abbey – an event which reportedly sparked a nasty feud and split the Adams family apart.
According to reports, most of the groom’s family was not present.
Further reports claim that Adam’s father, Mark, was the only person invited to their big day, but he was allegedly told to sit in the back ‘behind the pluses.’
On Adam’s side, his younger sister Bethany is the only member believed to have been close after the family’s fallout.
Bethany joined Holly’s sisters Tilly and Megan as they led the bridal party at the couple’s wedding on Saturday.
Now, insiders have claimed that Bethany’s decision to not only attend the wedding, but to accept such a prominent role in the bridal party, has left her mother feeling ‘betrayed’.
“Beth has betrayed her mother to see what she can get out of being the only family member to get along with Adam and Holly,” the source claims, claiming that Bethany has changed since becoming close friends with Holly.
“This is not the Bethany we all know, she has changed her look and personality to fit in with the Ramsays’ celebrity lifestyle,” the source added to The sun.
Weeks before her bridesmaid duties, Bethany attended the bride-to-be’s hen party, which became a focal point of the family rift.
