Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced a plan to provide three marla free plots to deserving and underprivileged individuals.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister inaugurated Maskan-e-Ravi ‘Zahra Homes’ in Kala Shah Kaku, Express News reported.
During the event, she visited Maskan Ravi and conducted a detailed inspection.
The Chief Minister handed over allotment letters and keys to 100 families. She expressed satisfaction with the quality and facilities of Maskan-e-Ravi ‘Zahra Homes’. Maryam Nawaz was earlier briefed about the project.
The briefing stated that 100 houses had initially been constructed in Mohalla Nehra Pur on Kala Khatta Road in Lahore. Each house in Zahra Homes is 400 square feet and includes two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a patio.
According to the briefing, using TREND EPS Smart Panel Technology, Zahra Homes have been earthquake resistant, energy efficient and environmentally sustainable. A 5 kW solar system will power every house in Maskan Ravi. The community will have access to an RO plant for clean water and a school, playground, mosque and pharmacy.
The briefing also mentioned that Maskan Ravi Housing Scheme is a joint initiative of RUDA and EPS Solutions Pakistan. A documentary highlighting the services and projects of PML-N President Nawaz Sharif was presented during the event.
Yesterday, the Punjab CM approved Rs62 billion for the ‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar’ programme, setting a target of providing loans to 40,000 people by May.
Chairing a special cabinet meeting, CM Maryam directed to speed up the loan disbursement process.
She also directed officials to review the proposal to increase loan amounts from Rs1.5 million to Rs2 million.
During the briefing, it was revealed that 5,000 residents have already taken advantage of loans under the program and over 4,200 houses are nearing completion.
The CM took several important decisions aimed at transforming Punjab’s agriculture, solar energy and industrial sectors.
During a review meeting on Sunday, chaired by senior provincial minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, progress in various sectors including agriculture, energy and industry were discussed.
As part of her efforts to boost agricultural development, the Chief Minister has directed the allocation of additional resources to expedite the distribution of tractors and other agricultural equipment.
In addition to the 10,000 tractors already allocated, 2,000 more superseders will be delivered to farmers at reduced prices by February 28.
