ISLAMABAD:
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), after approval by the Federal Cabinet, has notified the Policy Framework for Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) Services in Pakistan to promote competition, innovation and improved consumer choice in the telecommunications sector.
The framework enables MVNOs to offer nationwide mobile and next-generation mobile services under their own brand identities through commercial agreements with licensed mobile network operators without having spectrum, said a press release issued here on Wednesday.
