Reality tv show The traitors is a much bigger deal here in the UK, where I’m based, than it is in the US, so I was a little surprised to see it given the honor of being a Strands theme.
Not that I’m complaining – because I pick up all the elements that make for a fast and fun game.
One of the many joys of watching the show is watching the faithful fail to catch the traitors, but in the current series the audience gets to play along, with the addition of a “secret traitor”. It’s a good twist that has made the show even more addictive.

What is NYT Strands?
Strands is the NYT’s not-so-new-anymore word game, following Wordle and Connections. It’s now a full-fledged member of NYT’s game stable that’s been running for a year and can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
