PESHAWAR:
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa CTD has conducted two successful intelligence-based operations in Peshawar and Khyber, killing six “highly wanted” terrorists linked to Fitna al-Khawarij, while several of their accomplices managed to escape.
According to the police, the first targeted operation was conducted on the outskirts of Peshawar in the Tipu Sano Bacha graveyard area near Zahir Ghari following confirmed intelligence reports.
A CTD ambush team engaged the terrorists and killed three of them on the spot. However, a number of their employees escaped by taking advantage of nearby residential areas.
The second operation was carried out in Jamrud in Naqa Kalle area next to Shah Kas Bypass Road where terrorists were allegedly preparing a coordinated attack on the police.
CTD personnel foiled the plan and killed three more terrorists.
