A landslide in the mountainous village of Qamar in Tehsil Gumbat, Kohat district has claimed seven lives and left one person injured, Rescue 1122 officials said on Wednesday.
The incident occurred earlier this week when part of a hillside suddenly collapsed, burying eight people under massive debris.
Rescue teams launched an intensive search and rescue operation, which has now formally ended after days of continuous efforts.
According to a Rescue 1122 spokesperson, seven bodies were recovered from the rubble, while one injured survivor was rescued.
