Joint meeting of Parliament set for 21 January

ISLAMABAD:

The government has decided to convene a joint meeting in the Folketing on 21 January with a heavy legislative agenda, which includes the adoption of 29 bills.

The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has forwarded a formal summary to the President seeking approval to convene the joint session, which is scheduled to begin at 10:30 am.

According to officials, the joint session will take up a total of 29 bills for approval, comprising 18 private members’ bills and 11 state bills. Of these, 24 bills had previously been returned without the President’s consent.
