ISLAMABAD:
The process for the appointment of the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly reached its final stage on Thursday, when the verification of the signatures of the opposition lawmakers was completed and the National Assembly secretariat prepared the formal summary for approval.
The secretariat has forwarded the summary to the reference office.
NA Speaker will sign the summary after consultation with Special Secretary Law Mushtaq Ahmed. All procedural requirements, including verification of opposition members’ signatures, have been completed.
