A rare game where I first got the spanram which revealed the word VIBRATE and a firmer grasp on the kind of word we were looking for.
The letter Q helped make it easier to pierce together QUAKE and unlock the rest of the board, but had I needed a hint, there were also plenty of visible non-game words.
The word WOBBLE always amuses me, mainly because it triggers memories of a vintage advertisement for an egg-shaped toy from the 1970s called Weebles, which delighted in the catchphrase “weebles wobble, but they don’t fall down”.

What is NYT Strands?
Strands is the NYT’s not-so-new-anymore word game, following Wordle and Connections. It’s now a full-fledged member of NYT’s game stable that’s been running for a year and can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
