HBO’s A knight of the seven kingdoms – the one Game of Thrones spin-off based on George RR Martin’s beloved Tales of Dunk and Egg – is finally here, premiering January 18 on HBO and Max (January 19 in many regions).
Although the streamer does not offer a free tier that is a sneaky loophole: new subscribers to YouTube TV can catch one free trial that includes HBO Maxso you can stream the first episodes without paying a dime.

Early buzz around A knight of the seven kingdoms suggest this latest Game of Thrones prequel might not hit the stratospheric numbers of its predecessors — but it’s still a big deal for HBO and Max.
Critics have given the six-episode first season generally positive reviews, with Rotten tomatoes report one 87% approval rating, Metacritic scored it 75/100, and our own TechRadar rate it 4/5, reflects solid audience interest.
Although official ratings have yet to be released, HBO’s early renewal for Season 2 ahead of its premiere is a strong vote of confidence for the sword ‘n’ sex saga.
