Filing delays draw ire of FCC top judge

.

ISLAMABAD:

Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) Chief Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan on Tuesday observed that lawyers took too long to advance their submissions in the super tax case, making it imperative for the court to set a clear time frame.

The case was heard by a three-member bench headed by the FCC Chief Justice and comprising Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi and Justice Syed Arshad Hussain Shah.

During the hearing, the counsel for various companies Owais Ali Shah appeared before the court and concluded his arguments. He argued that the imposition of super tax after payment of final tax was unconscionable.
