NEW Strands today (game #692) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #692, are…
- BOAT SEAT
- PARTY
- WATER
- NIGHT
- STARRY
- LILIES
- SPANGRAM: FAMOUS PAINTING
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
Completing this puzzle was pretty straightforward, but it’s far more difficult to tell you which FAMOUS PAINTING is being described.
My first thought was Starry night over the Rhône by Vincent Van Gough, but I don’t think it contains any LILIES or much in the way of signs of a PARTY.
If the spanframe had been a majority, I would have considered a mashup of Van Gough and Monet. Alas, I have a Saturday to get on with, so I have to live with the mystery and satisfaction of a puzzle.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Friday, January 23, Game #691)
- NAIVE
- COLD
- GLOWING
- BELIEVABLE
- ARTLESS
- SPANGRAM: BORNYESTERDAY
