ISLAMABAD:
The government has decided to connect the holy places of Kartarpur and Nankana Sahib with the national highway network.
In this regard, Federal Communications Minister Abdul Aleem Khan chaired a meeting and directed the NHA to start the construction of the Sialkot-Kartarpur Expressway, which will be named “Guru Nanak Expressway”.
The minister highlighted that 3-, 4- and 5-star hotels will be developed along the highway to facilitate pilgrims. To encourage investment from the global Sikh community, NHA will launch international marketing campaigns in London, Canada and the United States.
