Pakistan has taken an important step towards the introduction of 5G services, with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) announcing that the 5G spectrum auction will be held on March 10.
According to a spokesperson for the PTA, the decision to conduct the frequency auction on 10 March follows extensive consultations with all relevant stakeholders, with the aim of ensuring a transparent, competitive and inclusive process.
The spokesperson said the final and approved timeline has been carefully designed to allow telecom operators and potential bidders sufficient time to complete preparations.
