The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 (Netflix)
Look at
Court is back in session, folks! The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 is streaming on Netflix and sees LA’s best defense attorney, Mickey Haller, face his toughest case yet. On trial for a murder he didn’t commit, Mickey must act as both the accused and the defense attorney in what’s set to be another thrilling watch.
Based on Michael Connelly the law of innocence, season 4 picks up directly after last season’s cliffhanger ending, where Mickey discovered a body in the trunk of his car. Unlike the previous season, which was released in two parts, all 10 episodes of the latest installment are available to stream now. – Amelia Schwanke, Senior Entertainment Editor
The Muppet Show Special (Disney+)
Look at
There are only two people who can save the world right now – Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. Luckily for us, they’re leading Disney+’s revival The Muppet Showwhich makes me so happy it really brings a tear to my eye.
We’re going for the usual japes and musical numbers (with a 2026 twist), but if that wasn’t enough, pop icon Sabrina Carpenter joins them on screen. Since Short n’ Sweet album, Carpenter’s sweet vintage aesthetic rivals anything Miss Piggy would wear on a daily basis… and oh boy, do I smell a frenemy war brewing. – Jasmine Valentine, entertainment reporter
Relationship Goals (Prime Video)
Look at
Prime Video has done it again. Despite the backlash that its World War movie received for feeling like a two-hour Amazon commercial, the streamer has released another ad disguised as a movie that uses famous singers-turned-actors to attract viewers.
Pictured as a light-hearted Valentine’s Day rom-com starring Destiny’s Child’s Kelly Rowland and Wu-Tang Clan’s Method Man, Relationship goals has instead been called out as a glossy promo for Pastor Michael Todd’s book of the same name, which – surprise surprise – you can buy on Amazon. Todd, unsurprisingly, is also credited as star and producer. As you might imagine, it’s fallen about as well as Prime Video’s previous venture. – AS
Ella McCay (Hulu/Disney+)
Look at
Awards season has been so busy that you may have overlooked this little gem, which is out now on Hulu and Disney+. Sex educationEmma Mackey plays the titular character, a 34-year-old woman who becomes governor of her home state. However, the residents are not her biggest challenge – Ella’s husband, father and brother take that crown instead.
As well as being overwhelmingly endearing, there is a sense of optimism in it Ella McCay which we rarely get with today’s movies. Of course there are challenges, but that’s just life. We get pure sunshine in a bottle here, and it’s incredibly hard to come by. – JV
The Burbs (Peacock)
Look at
Peacock’s adaptation of the 1989 black comedy ‘Burbs arriving this Sunday. At the time of writing, its Rotten Tomatoes critical score has yet to be determined, so we can’t measure how successful it is compared to the original starring Tom Hanks.
Nevertheless, it’s a simple but intriguing plot that centers on a newly married couple as they move to the suburban neighborhood where the husband grew up. This decision reveals old secrets and their hopes for an idyllic place to live are soon destroyed.
There is a great cast attached to this series which can encourage viewers to tune in. Keke Palmer, Jack Whitehall and Haley Joel Osment are some of the big names involved, so fingers crossed it’s a good watch. – Lucy Buglass, Senior Entertainment Writer
The Investigation of Lucy Letby (Netflix)
Look at
Netflix’s latest crime documentary focuses on Lucy Letby, a neonatal nurse who was found guilty of murdering seven babies and attempting to murder seven others under her care.
To explore the case, it features interviews with experts and lawyers on both sides, as well as an anonymous interview with a mother of one of the victims. According to a press release from ITN Productions, this marks her “first time speaking about her experience.”
In addition, the release says there is “never-before-seen footage” in a documentary produced “as a result of years of research and relationship building”. It’s going to be a very difficult watch, and I can see it dividing audiences, but if you’re interested, it’s streaming now. – LB
