NEW Strands today (game #706) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #706, are…
- BORING
- MUNDANE
- FLESHY
- TIRING
- HUMDROOM
- SPAN FRAME: SEAL DOOR
- My assessment: Easy
- My score: Perfect
This game featured the longest spangram we’ve seen since October, with the 16-letter WATCHINGPAINTDRY taking up a large portion of the board.
That spangram looked to me like it was in the form of a football/soccer goal, which is possibly why I thought the whole quiz consisted of words describing my team, Brighton & Hove Albion’s, dead BORING performances this season as we flop around in the “Boo-oooo ring” in the middle of the losses league that will hopefully have a draw and a draw tomorrow afternoon.
Anyway, I digress. I’m sure the theme was much more general than a dig at the English Premier League, but I had to keep my interest somehow.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Friday, February 6, Game #705)
- EYES
- CHEEKS
- NOSE
- BRYN
- MOUTH
- HAIRLINE
- FOREHEAD
- SPANGRAM: FUNCTIONS
