This week, Garmin rolled out a massive upgrade to all of its top Garmin watches in the EU and Australia, bringing their ECG functionality to customers for the first time.
The company announced that the ECG app is now available in the EU and Australia. As you might expect, the EKG app lets you record your heart rhythm to check for signs of atrial fibrillation, which can lead to health complications later in life.

EKG is finally rolling out to Garmins in the EU and AUS
ECG functionality has been a mainstay of the best smartwatches on the market for a few years now. The Apple Watch Series 4 popularized the technology back in 2018, when the company sent an FDA-approved EKG using the device’s digital crown. Now you’ll find it in all the best Apple Watch models as well as offers like the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Series 7.
