At just 21 years old and only 24 days as a professional golfer, Jackson Koivun can call himself a PGA Tour winner.
And he held off Scottie Scheffler, the world’s No. 1 golfer, to do so at the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities in Minnesota on Sunday.

Koivun drev sig selv i førsteklasses position for at vinde turneringen, da han lørdag i runde 3 postede en 10-under 61 for at flytte til 20-under for turneringen. It was also a tournament record during the round, as his 28 on the back-9 was the best score ever on those holes.

“Throughout the crowd, I kept hearing ‘Scottie is coming, Scottie is coming,'” Koivun admitted after his win on the CBS telecast. “I just tried to tone it down and continue to play the golf I knew I could.”
It’s hard to block when Scheffler climbs a leaderboard because it usually ends up in his favor. Winning is nothing new for the now former top amateur in the world, but it’s a different feeling on the PGA Tour for the first time.
