During his visit, Minister Roeslani will hold extensive talks with the Deputy Prime Minister on the prospects of strengthening the Pakistan-Indonesia partnership in trade and investment, the ministry said in a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter).
The visit is expected to strengthen bilateral economic ties between the two countries, the foreign ministry added.
In January, Pakistan and Indonesia strengthened their economic partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the establishment of the Joint Trade Committee, creating an institutional platform to strengthen trade dialogue.
Earlier, in December, the two countries signed seven MoUs and agreements to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields. These included cooperation in higher education, a grant program for Indonesian government scholarships, facilitation of business development for small and medium-sized enterprises, cooperation between national archives, drug control and cooperation on the prevention and combating of illegal drug trafficking, cooperation on trade in halal and certification, and cooperation in the field of health.
