ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday issued notices of appeal against the conviction of lawyer Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha in the controversial tweets case.
The court also served the respondents with pleas for suspension of sentence for both and requested their responses.
Judge Muhammad Asif heard appeals against the sentence of the two accused. Faisal Siddiqui, Zainab Janjua and others appeared on behalf of Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha.
The petitioner’s counsel said that the next hearing should be scheduled soon.
