MOSCOW:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is planning a visit to Russia on 3-5 March, Russian state news agency RIA reported, citing a Pakistani official.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the visit was being prepared. The state news agency RIA said it would happen next week. Pakistan and Russia (formerly the Soviet Union) established diplomatic relations on 1 May 1948.
Both countries have close, friendly and cooperative relations. For much of history, the two countries have remained a closed relationship, especially during the Cold War.
