Dua Lipa takes the stage at the BRIT awards after skipping the red carpet

Dua Lipa sent fans into a frenzy with a surprise appearance at the BRITs on Saturday 28 February after she skipped the red carpet.

The 30-year-old pop superstar took to the stage to perform her hit song, Dance the night awayduring producer Mark Ronson’s set after the ceremony had already begun and she was nowhere to be seen.

The Floating the hitmaker honored the iconic producer behind many hit pop songs from Amy Winehouse to Billie Eilish.

During the ceremony, Ronson was honored with an Outstanding Contribution to Music Award, and Lipa was joined by Lily Allen and RAYE for a medley tribute to his songs Uptown Funk, Back to Blackand Electricity.

Fans who missed out Fever singer’s live performances, excitedly shared the videos of her performance on social media and declared that “the queen of pop is back!”

One X user wrote: “SHE JUST RENEWED HER POPPIGE LICENSE OH MY GOD,” and “The BRITs saved the best for last,” declared another.

Many repeated that “the BRITs are not possible without dua lipa.”
