ISLAMABAD:
The National Assembly’s proceedings were adjourned without any proceedings on Friday after the government failed to secure a quorum. The session, chaired by Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, began with the Question Hour.
At the start of the proceedings, opposition MNA Iqbal Afridi sought permission to raise a point of order regarding protests by people from the erstwhile Fata region, which now constitute KP-merged districts.
When permission was not granted, he pointed out the lack of quorum. A count of members confirmed that the required number of legislators were not present.
