NEW Strands today (game #735) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #735, are…
- CLOCK
- SPRING
- HOUR
- LOSES
- SLEEP
- FORWARD
- SPAN FRAME: DAYLIGHT
- My assessment: Easy
- My score: Perfect
While I appreciate that all the words in today’s Strands are related to DAYLIGHT SAVINGS, some of them feel a bit of a stretch. HOUR? Well, you lose an hour – but in itself it is somewhat related to the rest of the words. Ditto LOSE. Maybe they are couples – as in SPRING FORWARD, LOSING HOURS… but then the other two would be CLOCK SLEEP, which makes no sense.
Other than that, this wasn’t too hard to fix and was definitely more pleasant than the clocks going forward actually are: I never look forward to the annual struggle to get the oven clock set to the right time…
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Saturday, March 7, Game #734)
- TUMBLER
- THE GOBLET
- TANK CARD
- CHALICE
- STONE
- SNIFFER
- SPANGRAM: BEVERAGES
