ISLAMABAD:
Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar spoke with his UAE counterpart Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Saturday. “The two leaders exchanged views on the evolving regional situation and stressed the importance of peace and stability,” the Foreign Ministry spokesman said in a press release.
The foreign minister expressed concern over the recent attacks in the region, including the attacks on the UAE, and conveyed Pakistan’s solidarity with the UAE and its people. Dar also spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. During the conversation, they discussed the developing regional situation. The two leaders also exchanged views on recent developments and agreed to remain in touch.
In a telephone conversation with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi, Dar exchanged views on the regional situation. Both sides stressed the importance of de-escalation and emphasized dialogue and cooperation for peace and stability in the region.
