Jacob Elordi is praised for respecting art as Timothee Chalamet faces backlash

Jacob Elordi and Timothee Chalamet’s view of the ballet is a hot topic of debate on social media after Marty Supreme the star caught fire for jokingly disrespecting ballet and opera.

As the internet slams Chalamet, a recent interview with Elordi has resurfaced in which he praises the art form and credits it for inspiring his portrayal of the creature in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein.

The contrasting views of the actors garnered great respect for Kissing booth star, and disgrace for Beautiful boy actor as the debate continued.

One X user wrote, “i have always been in love with ballet” .. mind you jacob elordi used ballet as inspiration for the creature. this is proof that you can still be a strong actor while respecting other art forms!”

Chalamet’s controversy also turned social media against him just a week before the Oscars, and among both fan-favorite actors, Elordi remains the one they’re rooting for.

The Dune actor had a strong Oscar campaign for Marty Supremeand is nominated for Best Actor at the ceremony on Sunday 15 March.

As for Euphoria alum, he is nominated for the best supporting actor award for his performance in Frankenstein.

While it remains to be seen who will win the Academy Award, the results are based on the votes of anonymous Academy members and not the fans.
