Jose Andres Goes Over Jennifer Garner Amidst LA Fires

José Andrés, an American chef, sat down for an interview with People where he opened up about Jennifer Garner’s work amid the wildfires in LA

He owns the organization World Central Kitchen, which aims to provide food to victims in times of crisis or tragedy.

The actress joined him and his team to deliver meals from food truck partners and kitchens to victims and those in need.

“She lost a friend [and] she was there as one more. It feels like she was my friend since childhood – and we just met, we barely met – and there she was. I didn’t have to tell her what to do because she will always find something to do on her own,” he explained.

He added that she had “given hugs to so many people” while handing out meals, “I think it’s almost like a psychological concern that I don’t think anyone is aware of, but it’s so deep and so important.”

“Anyone who was able to show up even for an hour, to me they’re great people because they don’t have to,” continued Andrés, “Some of them are suffering from the consequences of the fire, but there [here] they are. And they don’t do it where there are cameras, they do it where there aren’t any, and that makes it very special.”

It was confirmed on January 17 by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner that there had been 27 deaths so far due to the wildfires.
