Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have become a topic of discussion at the palace following their big announcement.
For the uninitiated, a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed that they will travel to Australia in mid-April to undertake a “number of private, business and philanthropic engagements.”
Royal expert Jennie Bond believes the timing of the Sussexes’ trip may have caused King Charles and the royal family to question their intentions, as a very important royal event was due to take place at the same time.
As per Mirrorshe said, “I suspect the King and his family might be wondering why Harry and Meghan have chosen to announce their visit to Australia with such fanfare.”
Jennie added: “And there seems to be some danger of it clashing with events to mark what would have been the late Queen’s 100th birthday.”
Furthermore, the royal commentator also shed light on how Harry and Meghan will commercialize this trip as they need money to survive.
“It would be interesting to know how much money the couple hope to make from this trip… They will use their profile to publicize causes they care about and to make money,” Jennie said.
She also warned Meghan that if she again uses the title of Duchess of Sussex to “advertise” herself, then “things will get a bit murky.”
