Aarke’s ‘fantastic’ drip coffee maker looks better than ever with a stylish new color variant that will add a splash of sophistication to your kitchen

The Aarke coffee machine is one of the best drip coffee machines we’ve tested here at TechRadar, and it just got a smart new look with a soft matte finish called Sand. It makes a refreshing change from the original industrial-looking stainless steel and will suit kitchens with wood and earth tones, both of which are “set to dominate” this year, according to our colleagues at Ideal Home.

“Color is calming,” says Richard Davenport, CEO of luxury kitchen design firm Davenport Kitchen and Home. “We see fewer stark whites or cool grays and far more mineral tones that shift gently with the light.”

When we reviewed the Aarke Coffee Maker (which can be connected to a grinder to create a complete coffee system), our tester Chris Rowlands called it a “fantastic” and “distinctly premium” machine that “brews with style.” He praised its clean lines and streamlined controls, noting that it “makes a statement on any counter”.

His only complaint about the original stainless steel coffee maker was that its glossy surface tends to show fingerprints, but that’s not a problem with the new Sand finish, which keeps your machine looking spotless.

However, the Aarke coffee machine is not only attractive; it’s also an excellent brewer with thoughtful features, including a grinder size guide on the lid of the bean container to help you screw in your grinder, a drip stop valve that prevents coffee from leaking when the carafe is removed, and a smart hotplate that keeps your freshly brewed coffee warm and detects when the carafe is removed.

The Aarke Coffee Maker in Sand is on sale now in the US for $400 and can be pre-ordered in the UK for £300, where it will start shipping in May. It’s not yet available in Australia, but the coordinating Aarke Kettle retails for AU$399.
