Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s latest move backfired ahead of the Australia tour.
For the uninitiated, a few days ago the Duke and Duchess of Sussex hit the negative headlines following Tom Bower’s shocking claims about Sussex.
In the upcoming book, the royal author made a number of bombshell claims, such as their ties to William and Kate and the Invictus Games.
The comments did not go down well with Harry and Meghan, and their spokesperson released a fiery statement to deny the claims.
But PR expert Renae Smith said it was not a wise move.
She added: “It was scathing, highly detailed and emotionally charged, which is rarely the strongest position when dealing with a book like this.”
Harry and Meghan’s statement contains material that is “damaging” to their public status.
As per Expresssaid Renae that “silence is stronger”, but the Duke and Duchess of Sussex chose to speak out.
