PIA completes preparations for Hajj operations

PIA has completed preparations for its pre-Hajj flights, which are set to begin on April 18 and continue till May 21, official sources told The Express Pakinomist.

In the initial phase, there will be flights to Madinah and Jeddah to facilitate pilgrims traveling for Hajj. PIA plans to transport more than 60,000 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia through 202 flights.

Of the total, about 49,000 pilgrims will travel under the government’s Hajj scheme, while 11,000 will perform Hajj through private arrangements.

PIA will fly directly from several cities including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Sialkot, Quetta, Faisalabad and Multan.
