NEW Strands today (game #760) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #760, are…
- AGENT
- BETTOR
- JOCKEY
- TIPSTERS
- BOOKIE
- COACH
- SPANGRAM: HORSE
- My assessment: Hard
- My score: 2 hints
My first thoughts about today’s theme were something to do with musical numbers or with athletics. Also, when I couldn’t find anything that matched and came up with lots of words that weren’t games, I took a hint.
Alas, AGENT didn’t help me at all, and unsure how to proceed, I used another hint. BETTOR made me think of gambling and eventually the ear dropped.
As the son of a man who would spend every waking hour studying HORSERACING form guides, perhaps I should have seen this topic a little sooner, but I have to say that I find the whole animal sitting thing a bit ridiculous. I realize this may be a niche opinion, but to me it feels like something humans should have evolved to not have to do anymore.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Wednesday, April 1st, Game #759)
- QUIET
- QUIET
- QUIET
- NOISELESS
- OUTRAGEOUS
- SPANGRAM: SHHHHHHHHHHHHH
