The Punisher: One Last Kill release date
The article continues below
For the uninitiated, it means One last kill released a week later Daredevil: Born Again Season 2’s final episode. It will therefore be interesting to see if its events run concurrently Born again‘s latest chapter or not.
The Punisher: One Last Kill trailer: is there one?
No – and I suspect we won’t see one for a few more weeks. If I had to guess, I imagine the one-and-only trailer will be tagged on the credits by Daredevil Born Again season 2 episode 8
If a teaser is released between now and launch day, I’ll update this section.
The Punisher: One Last Kill cast confirmed

So far, The Punisher: One Last Kill has only one confirmed cast member:
- Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher
Last July, X/Twitter fan account DaredevilShots shared photos of Castle meeting a wheelchair-bound character at a children’s playground (see below). Many fans believe that this is Ma Gnucci. In the comics, she is the head of the Gnucci Crime Family, who hold a specific grudge against Castle. However, there is no word on which actor might play her.

Later that month, DaredevilShots shared another behind-the-scenes photo that appeared to show Jason R. Moore returning as Curtis Hoyle.
A former Navy SARC, Hoyle was one of Castle’s closest allies in Netflix’s universe of Marvel TV shows. In that franchise, Hoyle lost a leg on active duty, but in the linked tweet, he can be seen walking. It will be interesting then to learn if he has gotten a prosthetic leg, or if the MCU’s re-creation of the same character still has both limbs.
Finally, it is possible that Sadie Sink may be involved in some capacity.
Sink was confirmed as part of the cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day (more on this film soon) last March. Since then, rumors have circulated that her mysterious character in the upcoming film will be under Castle’s protection. If it’s true, it is Stranger Things star can enter One last kill before her enigmatic individual and Castle rock up in Spider-Man 4.
The Punisher: One Last Kill Story Speculation

Full spoilers immediately follow Daredevil: Born Again season 1.
The Punisher: One Last Killthe synopsis of the story has not yet been revealed. However, it is expected to reunite us with Castle sometime after Daredevil: Born Again season 1’s finale.
In one of the episode’s post-credit scenes, Castle escapes the Red Hook prison where enemies of Wilson Fisk, aka New York City’s tyrannical mayor, have been imprisoned.
The Punisher is not set to appear at any point in the Born again 2either, which raises some intriguing questions.
First, what has he been up to since we last saw him? I imagine he’ll have been laying low to avoid Fisk’s anti-vigilante task force, who will surely be looking for him after his jailbreak. However, Ma Gnucci could get him to raise his head above the parapet and embark on another solo crusade to take her out, which would certainly relate to One last kill subtitle on his Disney+ Special presentation.
The next big question many fans will have is where this project sits in the MCU timeline. Some have speculated that its story will run concurrently Born again season 2, which would explain Castle’s absence in that show’s latest installment. That makes perfect sense to me, but we’ll have to wait One last kill is released to know for sure.
Finally, two more concussions remain. Will Sink’s mysterious character show up and/or be tied to Ma Gnucci? And if said enigmatic individual shows up sooner The Punisher: One Last Kill‘s end credits review, will it lead directly into Spider-Man’s next MCU adventure? I can’t answer the former, but as for the latter…
How will The Punisher: One Last Kill affect future Marvel projects?

It is already common knowledge that The Punisher is involved Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Indeed, after reports all but confirmed Bernthal’s involvement Spider-Man 4 In June of last year, his performance was officially revealed Spider-Man: Brand New Day‘s first trailer.
So how will One last kill affect the plot of the next Marvel movie? I can’t say for sure, but if I’m right in believing that Sink’s MCU character will appear in The Punisher’s Disney+ Special, the pair’s respective arcs in Spider-Man 4 should pick up where they left off The Punisher: One Last Kill.
We already know that Born again season 2 and Brand new day are somehow connected—Marvel’s head of television, Brad Winderbaum, admitted as much in a chat with Entertainment Weekly last October. In my opinion, given Castle’s ties to Daredevil’s MCU TV show, it’s a stretch to say that One last kill will simply be an independent narrative. I think it will tie in closely with Tom Holland’s next outing as the iconic webslinger, so don’t be surprised if the ending of the TV special has any bearing on Spider-Man 4‘s plot.
