NEW Strands today (game #765) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #765, are…
- KNOT
- MARK
- FATHOM
- COURSE
- WAYPOINT
- RENT
- SPANGRAM: JOY SAILING
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
A hint of KNOT confirmed that we were looking for boat terminology rather than words that describe people who enjoy taking charge and screwing people over.
That said, the first words I found myself – MARK and COURSE – are hardly strictly nautical.
It was only with my fourth game word, FATHOM, that I finally sailed on the day’s sailing and cleaned up the board, but it was far from ordinary.
A chef’s kiss, however, to the puzzle makers for creating today’s sailing ship-shaped spangram. Impressive.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Monday, April 6, Game #764)
- EDGE
- EXTREMITY
- BRINK
- PRECEDENCE
- MARGIN
- LIMIT
- SPANGRAM: EXTERNAL BOUNDARIES
