Walmart’s new cheap Google TV streaming stick has appeared – get 4K and Dolby Atmos for a very low price

  • Walmart’s new 4K Google TV streamer spotted in the wild, possibly by mistake
  • Equipped with quad-core Cortex-A55, 4K support and Dolby Atmos
  • Expected in May, price around $30

Walmart appears to have unveiled its latest budget streaming stick, the Onn 4K Streaming Stick, but perhaps more by accident than design. There hasn’t been an official announcement, but the device has been spotted on some store shelves by an eagle-eyed Redditor.

According to Justlook361 (via Android Headlines), who posted photos of the boxed streamer, someone in the store may have made a mistake: There was only one box on the shelf, and “it was mixed in with a bunch of sticks” instead of being in its own shelf section. It fits with speculation that the device will launch in May; it is possible that the store mistakenly put the inventory out early.

In terms of specs, you get a lot for very little money: the $30 sticker price gets you dual-band Wi-Fi, 4K and Dolby Atmos with support for Google Cast and voice control via Gemini for TV. It looks like an attractive Chromecast replacement and could be one of the best streaming devices for budget buyers in the US.
